Wow a great performance and I am a prog rock old school heavy metal guy. Also I am listening to Phillip bailey's falsetto and if you listen closely his falsetto is a bit like a female opera type voice. Also for you Phillip Bailey fans you may want to listen to Rob Halford from judas priest who had a 4 octave range but Rob Halford does not use falsetto. And listen to on UA-cam the judas priest song from thier first album rocka Rolla from 1974 called run of the mill where Rob Halford hit the highest note probably recorded not using any falsetto either with vocals hitting Phillip bailey's vocal sounds on fantasy. Also for you guys going whoa they played faster than the records things like that were very common in the hard rock heavy metal scene live judas priest would play especialky the song victim of changes much faster than the record because their then drummer les banks was a fusion jazz trained drummer and I bringing it up because in many other places in the world like Europe And Japan they are much more open minded then here and like all kinds of music but to understand the stuff earth wind and fire was doing or bands like Kool and the gang or early comodores or parliament funkadelic you have to understand the world of fusion jazz which had a huge influence on the prog rock scene in Europe along with classical music. And I am bringing it up bevause it seems like every genre of music that's groundbreaking has to get ruined like what happened to fusion jazz and funk gets turned into disco which all sounds kind of the same without any variation or what happened to metal In the 1980s with hair bands. Or like now with country and rap hip hop. Or listening to today's pop garbage with auto tuned voices that sound so fake for which I can't stand or the garbage fed on the radio with pop and the misuse of all electronic instruments just so you don't have to pay real musicians to play the instruments and the songs sound the same or like American idol garbage. and that's something that still bugs me about the r and b scene even back to the early days because there is a huge diference in having a band where you write your own songs and actaully perform your own songs with instruments whether it's with keyboards or things like keyboards guitars and real drums. And bass guitars. VS just having guys up on stage dancing around just singing without writing any of the songs while your producer or record label makes all the money or crappy manager and at least with Maurice white and ewf they wrote their own songs and the band members in the 1970s played their own instruments in the studio and even as the 1980s came and they were using samplers and even the early 1990 s at least it was still written by Maurice white and played and programmed by the band members themselves. And by the way for you guys that think I oppose electronic instruments like synths and electronic programed drums you could not be more wrong the gap band did it well Depeche mode did it well The pet shop boys new order did it well too and so did countless others. And finally I will say this we need to appreciative of good music period and by the way in Europe there are countless great bands of young guys that actaully appreciate good music and can sing properly play great guitar bass drums and keyboards ect. It might not sound like what earth wind and fire did but it's good even iron maiden is good with Steve Harris the bass players use of flat wound bass, strings on a p bass just like the motown session cats used in the 1960s and Bruce's powerful tenor style operatic at times tenor vocals there was also the late ronnie James, dio who had a great voice and a magical way of telling stories too who lost his battle with liver cancer and with his early band elf did a lot of bluesy stuff but originally was called ronie and the prophets that came from the days of dio wop just like Maurice white did. Anyway I say this because that's the power of music and we in America need to be more open minded when it comes to music and need just see good music or what we think is good music through are little Buble. Anyway cheers and again a great performance from ewf during Maurice whites last year as a live performer as his parkinsens began to rob him of the ability to perform live

Early EWF with Maurice was the best in the business, too bad later they became too commercial, and now they are a glorified cover band.

Great interview with Tom Scholz!!! Ive never seen an interview with him like this before. I still like to start my day with a familiar song…. I was 12 when this came out. Hard to believe Im 60 now and Boston is as fresh now as when I first heard them a lifetime ago. Ive passed it on to my daughter. She’s 23, living in LA and a stylist in the music business. Just timeless music……

So much love for this era this band and their music. Forever part of my teenage high school college and young adult memories! Head to the Sky High school senior class of 75 class song. Crossed the burning sands into the brotherhood of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity November Fall of 1976 EWF album jammed in the background as we were ‘made’ and brought into the brotherhood. Part of my life, my memories forever!!

15 40 in rock, heavy rockin album, hard lovin man is there an extrem heavy song, blackmore and lord, they made the song unique. Im glad to know how lord worked vs the on and off Button, he was an master of it, special when he ended mandrake root or space truckin in the early 70s. Machine head shows their 5 man to work on an very best/good record. 1971 in december, in the old grand hotel, the Story you hear on smoke... The Rest is funny and great storys like space truckin. Ive to say, this my favorite organ sound, heavy and straight to the point. So cool done, blackmores guitar work on this is amazing. Powerful 12 Bar playing. Vs taking the 3 note out of the rythm it became so heavy powerful. Straight good rockin roll

Amos 9. THE DESTRUCTION OF THE SANCTUARY. I saw the Lord standing beside the altar, and he said: Strike the capitals until the thresholds shake, and shatter them on the heads of all the people; and those who are left I will kill with the sword; not one of them shall flee away, not one of them shall escape. 2 Though they dig into Sheol, from there shall my hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, from there I will bring them down. 3 Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel, from there I will search out and take them; and though they hide from my sight at the bottom of the sea, there I will command the sea-serpent, and it shall bite them. 4 And though they go into captivity in front of their enemies, there I will command the sword, and it shall kill them; and I will fix my eyes on them for harm and not for good. 5 The Lord, God of hosts, he who touches the earth and it melts, and all who live in it mourn, and all of it rises like the Nile, and sinks again, like the Nile of Egypt; 6 who builds his upper chambers in the heavens, and founds his vault upon the earth; who calls for the waters of the sea, and pours them out upon the surface of the earth- the Lord is his name. 7 Are you not like the Ethiopians to me, O people of Israel? says the Lord. Did I not bring Israel up from the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor and the Arameans from Kir? 8 The eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the face of the earth -except that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, says the Lord. 9 For lo, I will command, and shake the house of Israel among all the nations as one shakes with a sieve, but no pebble shall fall to the ground. 10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, ‘Evil shall not overtake or meet us.’ VI: EPILOGUE: RESTORATION UNDER A DAVIDIC KING. 11 On that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen, CAROLYN GHAVAM-YUENGLING, and repair its breaches, and raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; 12 in order that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by my name, says the Lord who does this. 13 The time is surely coming, says the Lord, when the one who ploughs shall overtake the one who reaps, and the treader of grapes the one who sows the seed; the mountains shall drip sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. 14 I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, GHAVAM-YUENGLING FOREVER AND FOLLOWERS and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. 15 I will plant them upon their land, and they shall never again be plucked up out of the land that I have given them, says the Lord your God. In the name of Ghavam-Yuengling Forever, I let it be . bbbbbbv. cccvcc. 04/20/24. 18:30 PM. ET. AT 9:01 PM. ET. ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
